Last weekend, the Rosso Corsa team went to the Algarve Circuit (Portugal) with its Ferrari 488 Challenge EVO to participate in the Spanish GT-CET Championship, where its driver Álvaro Fontes came third in the GTX category.
As we have just mentioned, the Rosso Corsa driver, Álvaro Fontes, drove the Ferrari 488 Challenge EVO (of the Escuderia Faraón) which he shared with Pedro M. Silvero. Both showed an excellent level of competition, finishing the weekend in third place in their respective categories.

Free practice on Friday helped the team adapt to the conditions at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, but the real spectacle took place on Saturday morning, when two qualifying sessions were held to decide the starting grid. Fontes took fifth place in his category (1m 27.242s) and teammate Silvero also placed in the top five.
Ferrari duo placed third
Sunday’s race was affected by water on the track from the previous night’s rain. Silvero made the first relay, rallying to third place.
On lap 10, he took over from Fontes and made the pit stop. Fontes came out of the box focused on achieving his goal of being on the top step of the podium, and he was maintaining second position, until the last laps, when he had to relinquish his position and finish in third place.
The great work of Scuderia Faraon was reflected in the race and although we are only at the start of the season, this is a great result for Rosso Corsa!
