This classic Ferrari was the first road car to incorporate the innovative F1-type gearbox management system and was available in all three body versions: Berlinetta, GTS and spider. Derived directly from Formula 1, where it debuted in 1989 and won the Brazilian Grand Prix, the electrohydraulic system used the F355’s six-speed manual gearbox, but was operated through paddles located behind the steering wheel.
The design of each new Ferrari model is, by definition, strongly influenced by the brand’s culture and experience, combined with the innovations resulting from its own active experimentation and research work. In the case of the Ferrari 355 F1 GTS designed by Pininfarina, the fusion of familiar and more radically innovative elements, results in a truly unprecedented car that guarantees the same emotions typical of any Ferrari.
